A basic theory introduction to navigation and safety for powerboaters and sailors alike.
Conducted in the classroom, this is a theory course covering a variety of subjects from charts and information for navigation, awareness of tides and weather forecasts, through to safety afloat, anchoring and the use of electronic navigation. It may be conducted over two days, or evenings if required. For courses currently available, please enquire.

- Rules of the Road
- Chartwork - publications, navigation instruments, compasses
- Electronic and satellite navigation
- Tides
- Pilotage and buoyage
