A comprehensive introduction to chart work, navigation, meteorology and the basics of seamanship.
Conducted in the classroom, this is an assessed course leading to a Certificate of Satisfactory Completion, with the use of assessment papers prior to the end of the course.
It may be conducted over a five day period or a series of weekends. For courses currently available, please enquire.

- Rules of the Road
- Chartwork - publications, navigation instruments, compasses
- Electronic and satellite navigation
- Tides and tidal streams
- Pilotage
