Why not share your experiences... With a good few years of powerboating under your belt, you may be considering becoming an instructor, and possibly earning money doing something you love. Sounds great, but the truth is that a good instructor has to have a lot more qualities than just being able to handle a powerboat proficiently.

A instructor needs to gain the trust and respect of your students in a short space of time, and may be 'teaching' those with greater experience than themselves. As such it is important that knowledge over and above the RYA Powerboat Scheme is understood in order to have the confidence to deliver to all.

Ideally, an instructor should be competent/qualified to: If you wish to teach up to Intermediate and Advanced level, the Advanced Instructor endorsement is required.
