A one day course designed for small boat users.
This course is MCA and HSE approved and satisfies the requirements for Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster and Advanced Powerboat certificates of competence,
and some commercial work afloat.
Being afloat in any vessel restricts the availability of emergency help, so it makes perfect sense to give yourself an understanding of First Aid in the event that someone on your boat needs assistance.
Some of the subjects covered are:
- Performing CPR (difficulties in confined space)
- Drowning
- Bleeding Management
- Cold Shock and Hypothermia
- Recognition and treatment for Shock
- First Aid equipment afloat
